MSTRPLN V1.0 for iPhone and iPod Touch.
I left it as a mobile calling card, more development is on the way.
Add it to your home screen.

With all this talk about the iPhone 3G, I felt compelled to put some wallpapers together.
The chevron icon in graphite and two new logos in graphite and white.

Just finished tweaking the layout and content on my Behance portfolio.

Looking back over the last five years, I’ve noticed a steady progression for achievement in my career
as a designer. Most of the goals that I’ve set for myself have been accomplished, some still remain,
and some are being worked on at the moment.
Overall, it’s time to set some new goals and try to raise the bar a little bit more.
Nike has always been the number one client that I’d eventually like to do business with in some way,
shape or form down the road.
Let’s see what happens….

Fellow cool dude Jeff Hamada has a new blog rolling called Booooooom
It definitely hit hard with no sign of slowing down. Participate with the Booooooom Projects!
Also thanks for the link love!

The ASRD™ shoe is still making its way around the various media outlets, i’m still getting emails daily.
The latest comes from a German TV show that did a little segment on them.
Thanks for the coverage.

Are people actually reading this site?
I do enjoy the occasional surprise in the mail,
so brands out there, if you want to send me your stuff to review, hit me up though the website.
Shoes size 11.5, shirts size L

The Rig served it’s duty and even though it’s still kicking, it needs some time to rest.
Meet Prozilla, the new 8 core beast on the block that will be taking over where Rig left off.

Hey adidas, if you like this, let’s mingle.

I felt the need to start a bicycle gang and this is the logo that goes along with it.
We’re extra tough and always looking for members.

Got a care package in the mail from Ashdin over at Villany Brand.
Much appreciated. They just released their new line for Spring/Summer 08 so check that out fast.

Taking a break for the summer to refresh and work on not working.
Back soon.

The Desktop™ is expanding with more Star Wars love.

New work added to the website.
It’s been five years since the .com has been live.
It’s only the beginning…..

Coming soon from the workshop.

You can now find me on the Behance Network, a community of creatives.
Look me up here.

6 cop cars torched, the city looted, and it’s only the first round of the playoffs.
It smells like 1993 all over again.

Finally nice enough to take the bike out for a test ride. It is now known as Gnarbage™.
It’s a single speed with brakes that aren’t tuned, so it’s even more dangerous than a fixed.
Who would have thought I found this in the trash.

ID nearly complete.

Finally got one to call my own. The desk is getting crowded!

Leslie from WRG? hit me up with the images of the decks I helped art direct for the
BHMxWRG? project. Everything came out awesome.

Keeping it moving ….

Just got a package in the mail from none other than Gavin Strange from the Jam-Factory.
He hooked it up with an official Xyn CMYK tee. Big props!

Also, one of the sleekest business cards around! Word™

Got a mini Vader to kick it on my desk with the other homies. Dope.

I did some art direction for a little project WRG? put together for Black History Month.
The project consists of a microsite, skatedeck, poster and sharpie™ marker.

A digital notebook to go along with my analog PDA. It plays music too.

MSTRPLN logo t-shirts. Well-crafted couture without the couture.

Shoutout again to Leslie and WRG? for hooking me up with some new digs.
SheOne Addict Camo FTW!

Something’s brewing. Can you figure it out?

Who’s gonna get my money? Place your bets….

This is how my desktop has been looking lately, for the most part.

I just signed with one of the top agencies in town. More to follow.

My awesome girlfriend got this for me when we were in Quebec City of all places.
I had the OG strap-back from back in the day, finally got the authentic.

Was going to buy something at Kid Robot, but then suddenly changed my mind.

I thought it would be fun to see what response this would get. As the iPhone is slim to none in Canada,
I’m willing to trade some design or web work (within reason, of course) to anyone who would send me
one. Here’s your chance so let’s have at it!

I’ve had a pair of SBTG® dunks kicking around for the longest time. Being the SBTG® fan that I am,
I got them when they first dropped, but was only able to get my hands on a size 10.5 before they all
sold out, while I unfortunately wear an 11.5. Needless to say, I have no use for these so I’m going to
let them go, and hopefully they’ll go to someone who can appreciate them as much as I do. These
are brand new, deadstock, with original box and that special paper with the SBTG® pattern. Since I
want a new iPod Touch, I’m gonna let these go for $330 USD + the cost of shipping to wherever you
live. Far less than what they are charging at Flight Club or anywhere else.
If you want them, hit me up at stefan @ mstrpln.com

V3.0 is finally finished and launched online. Check out some of the new work. Mstrpln.com

I’m going to be producing some clothing in the near future and wanted to get a better idea of people’s
sizing. So if you have a moment, just email me what size t-shirt you wear and I’ll take that into account
for the production run. Send them to:
shirts@mstrpln.com

Photoshop, Illustrator, BBedit and a tap dance routine of coding CSS and Javascript has been
going on here for the last few days. Just a few more tweaks to go …

Sneak peek at some stuff in the works.

So far so good….

Almost finished with assembly. Chopped the bars and put on the tires, everything is coming together.
One more session and I think we’re good.

Looking for a full-time agency design position.

Gavin Strange is hitting hard with some amazing design work, show some love to the Jam-Factory.

Quite possibly the most useful tool out there for designers …..

Zoom Air Moire+ IDs from Nike. Props to Fongstarr (Site coming soon!) for making it happen.

Props to Mani from Digital Gravel for hooking up the Diggers Society tees that I was missing, and
throwing in a super exclusive DG industry shirt on top of it all. Many thanks man.

Done with paint. Flat black to keep it mean. Next stop assembly ….

Back to freelancing full-time. A new website is on the way along with several other exciting MSTRPLN
projects that are hush-hush at the moment. It will be worth the wait, trust me.

My old Toxic deck from ‘89. The best summers of my life were spent on it. I’ve been thinking of
re-gripping it and using it as a cruiser, have to find some longer trucks though.

Recent logo and identity work done for John Molson Accounting Society, with a new website on
the way shortly.

After several months of not receiving anything in the mail from my Diggers Society subscription, Mani
called me up and got it all sorted. Four new shirts in the mail and coming my way soon, courtesy of
Digital Gravel. Props to them for coming through in the end.

I spent most of the summer at the agency working on the layout designs for the new Orage 07/08 website.
It has come a long way and the end result is something that I think we are all proud of. Not to mention
how stoked I was to work on this project to begin with. Orage is sick, go buy a jacket!

I bought this Mac in September of 2001 for 3K and it has been the best and most reliable investment
I have ever made to date. 6 years later and it’s still kicking, ZERO problems, and it’s still making me money
like nobody’s business. A true workhorse. Happy birthday G4!

Progress on the build has been a bit slow these days, but it’s completely stripped and ready for paint.
Still waiting on some tires that were mysteriously on back-order, but managed to pick up a saddle, riser bars,
and some clear Oury grips. Let the choppin’ begin.

I’ve always wanted to put a spin on the Expos logo for the longest time, I just never got around to it.
Now that they’re gone for good I guess it’s fair game. Paying homage to the city that is Montréal.

The summer conversion project. Have some big plans for this frame, I’ll take note of the progress.
Literally one man’s trash …..

Just picked up another Moleskine journal, dubbed the “Analog PDA™”. I go through pads of paper like they’re going out of style, but they always end up loose and scattered. This thing is just brilliant in that it’s self contained, looks hot, and I can take it around wherever I go and not forget the next big thing. Special thanks to Sir Richard Branson for the idea hookup.

Off The Hook, Montreal’s premier streetwear boutique & art gallery, held a Munny show with some art from local tattoo artists, as well as a friendly Munny customization contest.

Working on a comeback.

I’m headed to New York city next weekend with the Cloudraker crew to check out a design conference at New York’s Center for Architecture. Sweettalk 20 will feature artists and designers such as Dalek and Michael C. Place, AKA Design by Build. Should be interesting, and the possibility of an Exclusive™ meeting.

After months of waiting, props to Digital Gravel and Weeklydrop for coming through and hooking me up with some new free clothing. This box contains shirt #7 in the series, made my 3Sixteen Clothing.

I apologise for the lack of updates over the last little while, lots of things going on lately. The biggest news being that I’m officially hired to work as a Designer on the creative team at Cloudraker, a cutting edge agency here in Montréal. I’m excited to work there, they have interesting ideas and projects, so wish me luck as I start mid February.

The one that got away …. 1990, 2000, 2007. RIP.
I’m not even going to bother with a write up, you can read the other posts in this blog that lead up to this to get a better idea on how i’m feeling. I give a big shout out to my boy Apollo for hitting the streets of Chicago searching for a pair of 11.5’s to call my own. Even though he couldn’t find them, he still made a huge effort to hit up a whole bunch of shops in search of them and that in itself deserves total appreciation.
I blame this all on the people who were buying 10 pairs at a time only to resell on ebay, a place where I’m sure to find a pair in my size, but unfortunatley not at a price I am willing to spend or be able to afford.

Well it is due time for me to replace my aging Sony Ericsson T68i, so I was eagerly anticipating the release of the new Apple iPhone. Given Apple’s standards, as well as all of the speculation from the tech rumor mill, I was blown away by what Steve Jobs presented. I figured a more “simple” phone was probabaly going to be released at Macworld, not the feature-laden smartphone that they came to announce. Sure it’s amazing, but given the current state of shitty Canadian cellular companies/networks, I highly doubt it will work where I live, let alone be released here. What a downer.
So since I probably won’t be able to use this phone to its full potential, here are the top 10 things that are bad about this iPhone, as stated by APC Magazine.

Two weeks to go before the biggest anticipated shoe drop of the year. At least for me, been waiting since 1991.

Props to the crew at Gravis for hooking me up with an A-Frame backpack, always been a huge fan of the brand.

Submission for the Crestock.com Photoshop competition. Designed a samurai mask from the graphical elements provided.

The all new promotional package. Hire me.
